MORE ON OUR GUEST
Michael Barnhill is co-founder and owner of Specialist ID, Inc, a leading brand/distributor of photo ID badge accessories. Specialist ID was named the #8 fastest growing company in Miami and #1,686 on the Inc. 5000 in 2015.
Michael arrived in South Florida by way of Eugene, Oregon where he unwittingly cut his teeth in business and marketing by promoting shows for his popular Indie rock band. Constant networking, designing ad copy (making flyers), and cold calling resulted in regional tours, big audiences, lots of press and a mention in Rolling Stone Magazine. (Feb 2002) Feeling a constant desire to keep busy, Michael started full time in High School and kept that pace throughout College working as many as three jobs simultaneously. He working started at Specialist ID in 2009 shipping packages in the day-time while tending bar at night. Since then he has helped to grow the company from a small two brother operation to a global brand and multi-million dollar business.
Currently, his focus is on product development, sourcing, and launch as he considers himself “The world’s Preeminent badge holder expert.” His designs are frequently top selling products on multiple channels and include the #1 selling badge holder on Amazon for the last several months. In addition to badge holders, Michael is passionate about family, travel, fitness, and music. The next big hairy audacious goal is to win a Grammy at the age of 42. His debut solo EP is near completion and due for release April 2017.
